The African Black Soap in these bars is sourced from Baraka Shea Butter, a company that is dedicated to providing fair and living wages to women they employ in Ghana. These artisans use the ash and cocoa pods from their shea and cocoa butter production to create traditional Black Soap, which is renowned for its cleansing and skin-nourishing properties. In these creamy buttermilk bars, the Black Soap crumbles are not fully dissolved, so they provide a gentle scrubbiness that helps to make your skin feel rejuvinated! Your skin will love these special bars that are also fragrance and colorant-free. 

My recipe is carefully crafted with loads of fresh goat milk and high quality oils & butters to keep your skin extra happy while the thick bubbly suds get you nice and clean, and as always, it's completely free of palm oil or fragrances that contain phthalates or parabens.

Ingredients: African Black Soap (Cocoa Pod, Shea husk ash, Unrefined Shea Butter, Coconut Oil, Apricot Kernel Oil, Sweet Almond oil, Kale) Cultured Goat Buttermilk, Olive Oil, Lard, Coconut Oil, Sodium Hydroxide*, Castor Oil, Certified Fair Trade Shea Butter, Raw Honey, Bentonite Clay, Kaolin Clay, (*Used in the saponification process to turn oils into soap. None remains in the finished product)

Listing is for one bar of soap. *All of my soap bars are handmade in small batches, so the product you receive may vary slightly in color or texture from the listed photos. Each bar weighs approximately 4oz (may vary slightly due to being hand-cut)*

To extend the life of your soap, keep it away from direct water flow, and allow the soap to dry on a well-draining dish after use. Handmade soap will last a long time if kept dry between uses!
